Please don't try to apply EFT at home if you have serious emotional and physical problems. Do it only under the supervision of an experienced EFT Practitioner or Mental health professional.

Since EFT requires tuning in to the problem, when it is done without proper guidance, it may unleash overwhelming emotions. It may then become difficult to deal with those emotions. For example, in cases of physical abuse, the underlying emotions are varied and complex and cannot be resolved without in-depth analysis.

For first time users, it is preferable to start with an EFT practitioner, work on the issues together and then proceed to do it on one’s own.

10 Compelling Reasons why you should work with an EFT Therapist
  1. Objective & Psycho-analytical assessment of problems by a therapist helps in resolving the issues faster.
  2. As simple as EFT looks, skillful application in EFT requires in-depth study.
  3. The affirmations play a vital role in the EFT process and developing customized wording for the affirmations can be done only with experience and practice.
  4. You benefit by being focused on your problem and by not procrastinating.
  5. EFT can be done for problems few days before they occur. For e.g. you can work on your stage fright before the upcoming stage presentation.
  6. It helps to get a non- judgmental and unbiased opinion.
  7. Working with your therapist will definitely accelerate your EFT results.
  8. Identifying emotions and unearthing core aspects can be achieved by thought provoking questions by the therapist.
  9. Your intense emotions will be handled with expertise and insight.
  10. The EFT results can be tested by the therapist.
